Earlier this month, the Xiaomi received a license for a new patent for a face mask.
ΑThis patent was first filed on 22 May 2019 and was administered on March 17 2020.
According to the patent description, the license concerns a new face mask. The remarkable thing about this particular mask is that it has a three-dimensional support frame that best fits a wearer's face. In other words, it is more ergonomic to use and could theoretically "sit" better on a user's face.
This frame support is made of plastic and can also be adjusted when force is applied to a specific area, which means it is probably flexible and shaped for a comfortable fit.
The other function that this new Xiaomi face mask could possibly offer is the best air restriction. In other words, it could effectively improve the sealing of air around the face.
This will help in better protection, even in areas where there may be infection from airborne diseases. So in this day and age when the coronavirus epidemic is a real threat, this face mask could save lives and help reduce the chances of infection.
