Xiaomi – Oppo – Vivo : They form an "alliance" to create a new unified file transfer.

The Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo announced that they are joining forces to create a new file transfer application, which will work perfectly on all devices manufactured by all three companies.

Τthe new protocol peer-to-peer will be able to transfer files at speeds up 20MB / s, probably using Bluetooth to identify the two devices, and then the WiFi for fast file transfer.

Η Xiaomi posted this news in a message on the official MIUI account at WeChat. Although the three Chinese Smartphone makers are working together on technology, the door is open for other manufacturers interested in joining the alliance.

It is natural to make comparisons with the ability to transfer its files Apple AirDrop, but its application "Google Files”Which has similar functions. Do not forget how Android Q will have integrated with a new function Fast Share, replacing the old Android Beam. Xiaomi already has it ShareMe in MIUI, so it is not clear yet what exactly this new feature - application will differ from.

The Fast Share now available on MIUI, is linked to Google Play Services, so Chinese manufacturers will need their own protocol at least for use on smartphones in China. As it is known, the MIUI version distributed in China, while it is based on a version of Android, nevertheless does not include the Google Play and other Google applications and services.

A beta version of this new app will be released later this month, but at the beginning it may only be for use in China, and later we will see an International version of the new file sharing app, which will be available for use in other countries as well.
