The alleged MIX 5 by Xiaomi it was shown in a live photo to feature a front-facing Selfie camera below the display
The last Smartphone of the MIX series of Xiaomi was the MIX 4 which was released in 2021. Last year we saw some rumors circulating strongly about its imminent release mix 5, but the device was ultimately never released.
It's been a while since anything related to this phone has surfaced, and now the alleged Xiaomi MIX 5 appeared in a live photo, which shows us the device has the Selfie camera in front of the screen.
The photo below was shared by Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo tipster, but the problem is that even he is not sure if this device we see in the photo will be the real Xiaomi MIX 5.
If the device above looks familiar, that's because it reminds you of it Red Magic 8 Pro. But if you take a closer look at the phone we see above and compare it directly to the Red Magic 8 Pro, you'll notice that even the plastic antenna lines around the bezels are in exactly the same places as the original RedMagic 8 Pro.
For this reason no one can be sure if we are dealing with a FAKE photo, even if the screen with the information about the phone appears to be genuine and the device is listed as the Xiaomi MIX 5.

It's not surprising only that this phone looks just like it Red Magic 8 Pro, but also the fact that the device in the photo above doesn't seem to have the classic either On / Off function key, at least not one that is visible to us. This is one area where the device we see above differs from the Red Magic 8 Pro.

The MIX 4 was released in August 2021, so perhaps the upcoming MIX 5 will be released around the same time this year. But as we mentioned above, read this news with caution, as no one can currently guarantee the authenticity of the above photo.
