MIUI 12 Camera: Upgraded with a host of new features and capabilities

Xiaomi presented it to us yesterday MIUI 12 which has a completely new and fresh design, and now we are learning about the new features that the camera application.

The video shows us some of the new features and design that has been done in the camera application environment, and below is a brief summary of these new features.

• Magic clone

In Magic Clone mode, the subject of the image can be displayed multiple times in different positions. The person himself is photographed from different angles and directions.

• Magic Kaleidoscope

Magic Kaleidoscope will add a kaleidoscope effect to photos or videos, and can be viewed from different angles.

• Press to download, hold to record

Now you can simply hold down the capture key to start video recording. Xiaomi makes the new application environment much more useful with these new features and capabilities like this.

• Menu changes

Unlike the camera app we have in MIUI 11, this new version will allow us to customize each of the options and functions displayed in the menus, from 2 options to a maximum of 10. This way, we can always to see the menu options most used in the day.

• Adaptability of the environment

As we saw in the video, not only does the application environment change completely, but you will now be allowed to customize even the color with which you want the individual menus of the application to appear.

• Animations and Effects

In addition to the above, a new collection of sounds and effects and animations has been added when enlarging or taking photos and videos.

The new MIUI 12 will be available gradually in batches on three different dates.

What about the missing devices from the list

At first glance you will immediately recognize that several devices are missing from the lists. Do not worry though, because this is because the above lists are limited to devices that have been released exclusively in the Chinese market. So we expect Xiaomi to add more devices to the list of suitable devices that will receive MIUI 12 and have been released in other markets (Global Version).

In addition, none of the Mi Pads are mentioned in the above lists, and this is strange, as the company's Mi Pads, while still only available in the Chinese domestic market, are not included in the above list.

Xiaomi has no plans to abandon tablets as a new Pad called the Redmi Pad 5G recently leaked through a poster. Maybe the tablets from the company will receive a separate version of MIUI 12 similar to the iPad-OS and will be added to the list later.

In addition, the Mi 6 is also not listed, but there is a cheaper version - the My 6X. However, according to a post made in the Xiaomi community, the Mi 6 will indeed receive MIUI 12, however it will only receive the Beta Developer version for the time being, and the company has not yet decided whether to give a Stable version of MIUI 12 as well. on the device, and therefore not listed.

Now that we are done with the devices that will receive the update on MIUI 12, let's take a look at the MIUI 12 distribution schedule / schedule provided by the company.

According to the latest post made to the official Xiaomi community, the distribution of Stable MIUI 12 ROMs for China will gradually become available from today, and will be completed in three different batches with the dates you see below.

If there are any differences in the dates and lists of devices from Xiaomi, we will notify you immediately.

• First batch - end of June 2020

• Second batch - Not yet declared

• Third batch - Not yet declared

As previously mentioned, the first closed versions of the MIUI 12 ROM beta will be released from today, April 27, but only to users participating in the Xiaomi Beta Program, and the first MIUI 12 ROMs will be available to everyone from May 8.

So we are waiting for the announcement regarding the Global versions of the devices that do not exist in the above lists.
