Xiaomi : The MIJIA Smart Electronic Blood Pressure Monitor with 90 days of battery life has been launched in China

Η Xiaomi released in China the new MIJIA smart electronic blood pressure monitor, with 3,7 inch screen and price at 29 dollars (~ 27 euros)


This medical device of hers Xiaomi is designed to help people monitor their blood pressure and heart rate while being affordable and easy to use, giving users a convenient way to monitor their blood pressure at home.

The MIJIA smart electronic blood pressure monitor comes with a large clip that is easy to attach to the arm. The cuff of the device can also be adjusted to fit the arm properly, making it easy for people with limited mobility to use.

The device has an easy-to-read 3,7 inch screen with a backlight that displays the readings in large font, making it easier to read the results. Interestingly, the device has support for and XiaoAI voice assistant (only useful in China), which reads and announces by voice the results of the indications displayed on the screen at a predetermined volume.

In addition, the device has built-in the classic keys for its operation and can also store locally the measurements of blood pressure and heart rate, keeping statistics that may be useful in a visit to the doctor. Users can also connect the device to the corresponding Xiaomi application that they will install on their Smartphone, to monitor their measurements, but also to check the battery level.

As for the battery, the MIJIA Blood Pressure Monitor it has a built-in long-lasting battery that can be used for up to 90 days on a single charge, provided that the device will be used daily to take up to two measurements. The device can be charged through a port USB-C.

The device can also alert users if it detects movement or if the cuff is too loose, which could help with more accurate measurements. In addition to the above, it can also alert users if an irregular heartbeat is detected, which can be an early sign of cardiovascular disease.

In terms of price, the new  MIJIA electronic blood pressure monitor will initially be sold through the platform crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin at 199 yuan (~ $ 29), and once it is officially launched in the Chinese market, the device is expected to be sold at 269 yuan (~ $ 39). It is not known at this time if Xiaomi will release the device in other countries outside of China.
