In August 2019, Xiaomi introduced the MIJIA LCD Blackboard in 10-inch and 13,5-inch variants priced at $ 7 and $ 11 respectively. Now, a year later, the company announces a new 20-inch version of this product.
Θa is available at a price of 129 yuan (~ $ 19 / € 15) from 2 September at China . The final price of the product after its exit from crowdfunding (Youpin) will be at 149 yuan (~ 22 $ / ΄18 €).
Η new 20 inch version of MIJIA LCD Blackboard are similar to older models. The only difference is in its huge size. This means that it comes with the same custom LCD screen that is pressure sensitive, and will have a stylus that is magnetically attached to the side of the device, just like in the iPad Pro.
The company claims that the screen is free of blue light emission, and therefore children as well as people of all ages, will be able to use it for a long time without tiring their eyes. The device consumes power only when the contents on it are deleted by pressing the round key Apple, -queque located on the right side, and below the frame.
In previous models, the company reported that the battery life is as short as one coin (type CR202), lasts up to one year (365 days), even if the contents of the screen are deleted 100 times a day. So this new device should have similar autonomy or maybe slightly less due to its bigger screen.
As the first two models have not yet been released in international markets, we are not sure if we will see it available in markets other than China. But it is certain that it will soon start selling in the well-known e-shops of China.
