Η Xiaomi has made official the Mi Play in China, which is an affordable mid-range smartphone that will keep users constantly online and even free for a year.
The Xiaomi Mi Play has been officially launched in China and features a waterdrop notch display, something we are seeing for the first time in a Xiaomi smartphone. Its screen is 5.84 inches with Full HD+ resolution 1080×2280 pixels, screen ratio 19:9, bezels that are visible and reminiscent of its counterparts Pocophone F1, while on the back the back is covered in graduated tinted glass, something that started appearing frequently in 2018.
Inside the Xiaomi Mi Play is the octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC processor based on the 12nm architecture, with graphics powered by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU from Imagination Technologies. RAM is at 4GB, internal storage at 64GB, 3000mAh battery and digital fingerprint reader on the back.
In the optical parts of the device, the dual camera on the back has lenses at 12MP and 2MP for depth performance, 8MP selfie camera and unlimited data with the first 10GB being free every month for a year. The device will cost 140 euros in the Chinese market and it is not known if it will be released in other international markets.
