Mi Band 5: It will debut in global markets in July

So today the company through its official Twitter account, revealed to us that the new Band will be available in all other markets outside China next month (July). This announcement was made through a poster that simply mentions us " See you next month"(We will see you next month).

The new Mi Band 5 has a color touch screen 1,1 inch AMOLED, which is 20% larger than its predecessor (Mi Band 4) so that it can display more characters. It also supports hundreds of custom themes (Watch Faces) to choose from, including well - known topics such as Spongebob Squarepants, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hatsune Miku and Detective Conan and more.

But in addition to support for Watch Faces, the device also has support for 11 different sports activities and sports. Of course, like the previous one Mi Band 4, new Mi Band 5 it is also waterproof up to 5ATM, so you can swim it without any problems in depth up to 50 meters.

Xiaomi has finally returned to 24-hour sleep monitoring, which includes fast sleep, deep REM sleep, irregular sleep and sporadic sleep. According to the company, the accuracy of sleep monitoring has been improved by 40%, while the monitoring of heart rate and irregular movements has been improved by up to 50%.

In addition to the above, there is now a timer that was present in the previous portable Mi Band, the monitoring of the menstrual cycle, the options for various exercises such as yoga and skipping rope and rowing. In addition, it has support for payments through it NFC, a function that only his devices had Mi Band 4 released exclusively for the Chinese market.

The Mi Band 5 will fully support the NFC and contactless payments, allowing payment through MasterCard for your purchases, but also for the payment of tickets on public transport.

The new Mi Band 5  also has a new one SpO2 sensor to measure the percentage of oxygen in the blood (oximeter), but in addition there will be the possibility of measuring stress and respiration during exercise. But beyond that it will provide you with some breathing exercises to reduce stress and help you relax.

In addition, there will be a function Do Not Disturb (DND), which will stop alerts and vibration for a limited time (eg 30, 60 or 120 minutes).

Xiaomi promises up to 14 to 20 days of autonomy, and the new Mi Band 5 comes with a new magnetic charging cable.

It will be available in China from 18 June and it remains to be seen the exact date that it will be released in Europe, and whether it will have the same prices or there will be some increase as is usually the case with the company's products released in markets outside China.
