Η Xiaomi has expanded its range My 9, adding a new model with double the storage space. The new smartphone will be available from August 14 and will be the most expensive flagship of the series.
Η Xiaomi released it My 9 on Mobile World Congress last February in two versions: with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and another version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
As of today, Xiaomi is adding another storage variant to the successful Mi 9 series. The new smartphone now comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This particular model is currently only available in China, and there is no mention of its global availability yet.
Xiaomi Mi 9: Price in China and Availability
The new Xiaomi Mi 9 with 8GB of RAM and storage at 256GB will be available for around € 415 in China. It will be available for sale from tomorrow, August 14th. The base model of the series with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is currently available at ~ 327 €, while the variant with 8GB memory and 128GB storage is available at ~ 377 € in China. It should be mentioned that all the above prices refer to the Chinese market.
Xiaomi Mi 9: Specifications and features
The Mi 9 is one of the most powerful smartphones in Xiaomi's product portfolio right now. It has a 6,39 inch screen and a fingerprint sensor below the screen. "Wears" the Snapdragon 855 SoC, and is available in three different storage variants in China. It has a triple camera layout on the back, with the main image sensor being the Sony IMX586 at 48 megapixels. There is also a 20 megapixel selfie camera with f / 2,0 aperture and 0,9m pixel size.
It has a great design with aluminum housing and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. Mi 9 runs MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. The device is powered by a 3.300mAh battery and supports fast charging at 27W.
