Following the official launch of the Mi 9 in China, and the Global Version of the device at MWC2019 in Barcelona, Xiaomi President Lei Jun is pushing production to secure at least 1 million devices available for sale.
ΓFor the commercial success of a device, it is not only necessary to have the right product and at the right price, but you must also have a production that meets the demand, if not all, at least most.
And right now, the biggest problem Xiaomi is facing with the Mi 9 is the availability of the device. The problem of availability was evident from the first Flash Sale made by the company in the Chinese Version of the device, where in a few seconds all stocks disappeared, leaving many fans of the company complaining, as they could not secure its purchase.
Xiaomi has not yet released the original stock number, but it certainly was far below demand, and perhaps even lower than similar Flash Sales of other flagships in the past.
All this, of course, did not satisfy Lei June (CEO) of Xiaomi, who in today's post on Weibo (Social Media in China), said that if at least 1 million units of the device are not secured within the first month, he will roll up his sleeves, and go and help the production itself to achieve the goal it has set.
Aside from its symbolic statement, what is certain is that the Mi 9 has an existing availability problem that makes it imperative to find a solution, and in fact quickly.
As far as our domestic market is concerned, the device (Global Versio) may appear, through the distribution network of Info Quest, at the same time as the other European countries (France - Spain - England, etc.), soon (hopefully).
