Η Xiaomi to support third-party software development, released the kernel source code (Kernel) of Android Pie for Mi 9 Pro 5G.
ΤLast month at an event in China, Xiaomi released the Mi 9 Pro 5G , an upgraded version of the flagship Mi 9. The device in addition to of course the support of 5G networks, also presented some additional impressive specifications, such as Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 12GB RAM and storage at 512GB.
It also contains a special cooling chamber with steam chamber made of copper and support for fast charging at 40 watts. The device was immediately available to all three telecommunications providers in China with 5G networks, with support for frequency bands N41, N78 and N79. To ensure seamless 5G reception, the device also includes seven antennas.
Now, to support third-party software development, Xiaomi has released the Android Pie kernel source code for Mi 9 Pro 5G .
Timely release of the kernel source code will allow developers and specialized users to intervene in the code running on the device. This will help them find different ways to improve the overall performance and capabilities of the Mi 9 Pro 5G.
Kernel source versions are also useful for developing custom ROMs, which in turn benefits users who are not happy with Xiaomi's MIUI 11. With the release of kernel sources for the Mi 9 Pro 5G, we expect to see a significant boost in ROM development from other Developers for the device.
