According to a recent post made on Weibo, the company has released a new firmware update (MIUI 12), which further enhances some of the features of this device. The Xiaomi mi 10 ultra received the new update at MIUI 12.0.10 a few days ago, and this update upgrades the camera software to the version used in DxOMark.
But besides that, it also provides some optimizations for the battery, the screen, the charge temperature control and the video toolbox.
According to the information, this new update properly improves the charging protocol. Usually, the Mi 100 Ultra takes about 10 minutes to fully charge the battery to 23%. However, after the first 10 minutes, the battery may show 100%, but the actual charge level is around 92,77%. The device charges at 9,75Wh for 10 minutes and charging at 100W only takes about 1 minute.
However, after the update, the My 10 Ultra a proper full charge at 100% takes again 23 minutes, however, after the first 10 minutes, the battery shows at 100%, but the actual charge is at 93,50%. With the changes made to the charging algorithm, the device now charges at 11,72Wh for 10 minutes and charging at 100W now takes about 13 seconds.
So, after the update, the charging time at 100w becomes smaller, but the load is greater at 10 minutes. However, changes in charging capacity are not significant.
The My 10 Ultra Supports wireless charging at 50W and wired charging at 120w. The company claims that it can charge the battery to 41% in 5 minutes and to 100% in 23 minutes. In addition, the My 10 Ultra uses a graphene-based battery, which is equivalent to a capacity of 4500mAh.
