But there was a problem: Experts at DxOMark evaluated a newer version of the camera software than the one released to the market with the release of the device. Last March, however, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun promised that Xiaomi would release a newer and improved version of the camera app than the one delivered to DxOMark, and now it's time for that to happen.
So today, Xiaomi has launched a new fixed version of MIUI 11.0.24.0, which contains a new improved version of the camera application, which is much better than the one DxOMark had. Xiaomi now expects DxOMark to re-evaluate the device, and the company says it will receive an even higher rating than it did the first time.
The new software update will gradually become available to all owners of the device via OTA, and is only 406 MB in size, and in addition to updating the camera, it brings some other small changes. It should be noted that this update, at least for now, only applies to the Chinese version of the device, and will be followed later by an upgrade for their Global versions.
At present, the We 10 Pro has been rated with 134 points for photo quality and 104 points for video quality, with the overall DxOMark rating being 124 points.
So a new evaluation is expected from DxOMark, and as it is known the test results of the basic model of Mi 10 are not yet available on the DxOMark website.
