HyperCharge 200W: This will be the loss of battery capacity after 800 charge cycles

Η Xiaomi officially announced late last month, the new fast charge technology called HyperCharge, which promises to charge the battery in incredibly fast times.

Σthe video posted by the company used a specially modified one Mi 11 Pro (with 4000mAh battery), which you try with both wired and wireless charging methods.

The device took almost three minutes to reach 50% to wired HyperCharge charge and seven minutes and fifty-six seconds to fully charge the battery at 100%.

With the wireless "HyperCharging", it took just fifteen minutes to fully charge the battery in 100%.

Xiaomi has named the new technology HyperCharge and supports both wired and wireless charging. In wired charging the power reaches 200 watts, and 120 watts, on the wireless.

There is currently no device on the market that supports these charging rates, and it is unknown when we will see this technology applied to Xiaomi Smartphones.

Of course, these charging rates are indeed very impressive, but at the same time they cause great concern for overheating and the rapid deterioration of battery health.

That's why Xiaomi was called upon to respond to these battery health concerns after charging at these outrageous speeds.

So according to the company, the battery is expected to lose just under 20% of its capacity after 800 charge cycles. That is, after two years and if you do a full charge every day, you will still have 80% of the original capacity of the battery.

This means that if we have a Smartphone powered by a 5.000 mAh battery (like the Mi 11 Ultra), the battery capacity will drop to 4.000 mAh after 800 full charge cycles.

Xiaomi 200W degrades 20% in 800 cycles

What is certain is that no matter how slow you charge your device's battery, it will lose a significant percentage of its capacity after 800 charge cycles, and the main culprit for this is battery damage (whether you hold your phone or not). connected to a 5W charger for 5 hours or to a 200W charger for 10 minutes), is the temperature that develops in the battery during charging.

Xiaomi 200W Wired Fast Charger can charge at 100% (a 4000mAh battery) in 8 minutes, 10% in 44 seconds and 50% in 3 minutes. The 120W wireless fast charge can charge to 100% (same battery at 4000mAh) in just 15 minutes.
