Xiaomi: Admits it's difficult to adapt Android 11 to its own MIUI 12 ROMs

Regarding updates AndroidThe Xiaomi It may not be the best or the fastest, but the performance of the company is quite good.

Η  company upgrades the system MIUI on the other hand regularly and always includes the latest trends. However, Android updates are something that all owners want because of the new features and superior security every time. The company recently received strong criticism for not including the system MIUI 12.5 (Android 11) at Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro / Mi 11 Ultra.

According to Xiaomi, the last year is the most radical year for MIUI after his time MIUI V5. The company made two major research and development releases. This R&D led to improvements in animation, privacy, interface, etc. In addition, the company claims that adapting to Android 11 is quite difficult. The company says Android 11 has some of the biggest customization challenges it has seen in recent years.

The challenges with Android 11 include performance, stability, and customization issues for third-party applications. This is why it is not entirely easy to adapt. Even the flagships did not receive the update.

The company stated that:

So for quite some time now, the team has been working hard on optimization and repair, including step-by-step adaptation for different performance models. Although we see a significant increase in the quality of the issue each week, this process still brings some challenges. We also want to ask everyone to understand that version stability is the most important thing we are investing in right now. You will see noticeable changes in the next release.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi explains that the issues of smartphones and systems are very complex. Xiaomi explains that energy consumption as an example is not just the energy consumption of the material itself. It also includes drivers, low-level system software (Android 11) and skin MIUI. With all of this in mind, optimization involves many parts and components.

In fact, in many cases it also includes the hardware manufacturer. We agree that this is not an easy process for all companies. Xiaomi has promised that it will move forward with the upgrades and that there will be no excuses next time.

The smartphone market is very competitive and regular software updates are an important qualification for a company. Recently, its mobile department closed LG. The company was notorious for lack of updates and was one of the reasons its sales fell over time. If Xiaomi slows down Android upgrades, it will significantly hurt its business.

In the same crap this year is the OnePlus - once first in updates just after Google. We expect some improvement from this as well.
