Athens, December 15, 2020. Η WIND activated the technology in its 4G network VoLTE (Voice over LTE) which brings even higher quality calls to voice services, while the communication of its subscribers is achieved faster.
Η WIND is constantly strengthening its network to support what its customers need in their daily lives to live in the modern world of communication. It is constantly investing in new technologies in order to offer comprehensive services to its subscribers for unsurpassed quality of communication. In this context and in view of the completion of the preparations of its infrastructure for the advent of 5G, it proceeded with the implementation of the service Volta on its Mobile Network.
The voice in Volta transmitted exclusively through its data service LTE network. The use of the data by the service for this transmission is free for the consumer. The battery is not affected and can last longer than the traditional way of mobile communication.
The service WIND VoLTE upgrades the voice service by combining it with 4G networks. In fact, it does not change the way subscribers communicate or use the mobile, on the contrary it offers much better voice quality with high definition calls.
At the same time, faster recovery times are achieved and the possibility of parallel use of services is given 4G (voice and data). In addition, it allows the movement of data at speeds 4G / 4G + during a voice call, enabling the parallel execution of activities that require data on the mobile device.
