Today the Xiaomi posted a video in which a professional driver used the phone as a remote control to drive a real car from 2.000 miles away.
Η Xiaomi present The My 10 Ultra with 5G capabilities last month, but unfortunately this smartphone we will not see it on the world market (at least not yet), although it turns out to be one of the best value for money for everything it offers.
At the moment, the least we can do is enjoy the capabilities of the phone, including the almost zero delay when using it on 5G networks.
Today on the official Xiaomi page at Weibo, the company released a video in which a professional driver used the phone as a remote control to drive a real car from 2.000 miles away, on a racetrack that had a controlled environment. Watch the video and you'll understand :
According to Xiaomi, this became possible because of 5G SA network which provides a connection with minimal delay to 1 ms. Of course, the car was modified specifically to operate on the same network, and a special application was developed exclusively for the purposes of this demonstration.
The video tries to convince that the remote control car finally won the race, but of course this is a marketing ploy. Nevertheless, with proper control of the throttle, steering wheel and gearbox, any car can move in turns when controlled by a smartphone, and it is obvious that the future will be bright.
