The Vodafone Foundation welcomes them this year's winners of the 12th round of the program World of Difference, who will utilize modern technologies and through 10 innovative projects and ideas, will offer to Civil society.
Η protecting the world, tackling homelessness, eliminating stereotypes, combating financial illiteracy, providing academic guidance, training health professionals, promoting health, and securing financial support to support others NGO were at the center of this year’s cycle.
In an era full of challenges, this year's winners of the program - aged 18 to 35 years - managed to stand out for their ingenuity and innovation among dozens of applications, securing a place in the program. The Foundation Vodafone will cover both their salary and their employers' contributions for a period of six months.
Specifically, this year's 10 winners of the program are the following:
- Zoe Asimakopoulou - Project Manager at the Public Benefit and Care Association for the Elderly and People with Disabilities - I TAKE CARE
Will create the online learning platform "e-School Long-Term Care", Which will enable health and social care professionals to be trained on current topics related to the care of the elderly and dementia.
- Alexandros Vezyrakis - Scientific Associate at the Association for the Protection and Care of Wildlife - ANIMA
It will undertake the complete processing of the statistical data of the Organization with the help of Geographic Information Systems, in order to take targeted measures and to implement actions at central or local level, which will mitigate and eliminate the phenomenon of injury and death of wild animals.
- Stavros Rafael Giouvannis - Youth educator and creator of digital content in ANTIGONE - Information and Documentation Center for Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence
It will create an online information and awareness campaign around the issues of accepting the other without discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation or origin. The campaign will be addressed to everyone, regardless of age, with the ultimate goal of accepting otherness.
- Eleftheria Gekou - Social Media Manager at YouBeHero
It will design a comprehensive communication strategy for the management of the Organization's social networks, which will contribute to the development of the project of the online platform YouBeHero as well as to the strengthening of the network of regular donors of Greek public benefit organizations.
- Andreas Kouvaras - Digital Media Manager at MKO Eyes of Light
It will modernize the work of Eyes of Light, encouraging even more people with serious illnesses, such as cancer, to treat the disease in a more positive light. Through the management of the digital media of the Organization but also the development of the digital platform and its database, it will promote the therapeutic energy of the artistic creation.
- Errika Lympousi - Communication and Dashboard analyst at the NGO ITHACA
Through the creation of the software - dashboard, Ithaca aims to gather the impact of the project and all the actions it carries out for the integration of the homeless. The aim is to save quality time, to optimize the existing services, to create new ones and of course through the communication of Ithaca's project, to have an immediate activation of the public to address the issue of homelessness.
- Alexandros Benetatos - Project Coordinator at Unique Minds
It aims at the development of the Organization's website and the creation of a smart platform for the provision of academic guidance for students, with the aim of better guiding them in choosing the subject of study that suits them.
- Filotas George Niarchos - Actions and Community Manager at WE4ALL
It will undertake the development of the Organization's network of volunteers, through the creation of a digital platform, which will facilitate young people to participate in the environmental activities they desire. The ultimate goal of the project is to increase the percentage of tree planting in our country.
- Edvionela Patsani - Digital Communications and Fundraising Officer at AMKE "FINARETI"
He will create a digital crowdfunding campaign. In this way, every citizen will be able to contribute to the work of the Organization, further strengthening the actions it implements regarding the promotion of maternal and infant health.
- Stelios Fetanis - Project Manager at The E square Project
He will take charge of Simply Economics. It aims through the use of digital technology tools, to acquaint the public with various economic terms, contributing to the elimination of economic illiteracy in our country. Thus, the original audiovisual material that will be created will also be used as educational material.
