ViVo X27: Made official with 6.39″ AMOLED – 48MP main camera & 16MP pop-up selfie

The vivo X27 is now official, and it's (mostly) an improved version of the V15 Pro.

ΑBut let's see the commonalities and differences that it has ViVo X27 over the V15 Pro.

Both devices have 6.39 Super Super Super AMOLED screens with 1080p + resolution, built-in fingerprint scanner and no slots or holes. There is a triple camera on the back with a Quad Bayer 48MP sensor on the main unit. The camera is set to 12MP by default, as in the case of using the Quad Bayer, and there are no changes here.

Next is the camera with the ultra wide angle lens at 120 ° with a sensor at 13MP. This gives the X27 a resolution advantage over its sibling, which has an 8MP camera at 120 °. Both devices have 5MP depth sensors. The camera also offers night mode, which can simultaneously combine 12-16 frames from the same photo, to reduce noise, and produce a clear photo in very low light conditions.

The autofocus is an example of degradation for the X27, as it has a 16MP sensor, compared to the 32MP of the V15 Pro. Both devices have motorized selfie pop-up cameras, but on the X27 the mechanism is slower, as it takes 0,68 seconds to extend compared to the 0,46s on the V15 Pro.

The vivo X27 is powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That's twice the storage of the V15 Pro (a clear upgrade), but the chipset is a mix of positives and negatives, as the V15 Pro has the Snapdragon 675 chipset, which has a faster CPU but a slower GPU.

The X27 has a special cooling system with vapor chamber to keep the chipset cool, and this may make a better difference in performance. On both devices we have a version of Android 9.0 Pie that was converted to Funtouch OS 9.

The battery in the new model is slightly larger - 4.000mAh compared to 3.700mAh, and both devices support fast charging at 18 W.

Finally, regarding the price, the vivo X27 is available now for CNY 3.600 ($535 / €470), quite a bit more expensive than the V15 Pro, which is priced at $345 / €305.
