As expected, the Vivo officially announced its new fast charging technology 120w at the MWC in Shanghai, China.
Η new fast charge technology is officially called “Vivo Super Flash Charge 120W”And is the fastest charging technology in the world right now. In March 2019, the Xiaomi announced its own fast charging technology 100 W, but has not yet announced any phone that supports this technology.
For its part, the Vivo introduced fast charging technology at 44W with the smartphone Vivo iQOO, which is the company's fastest charging technology to date. Now, the new technology Super FlashCharge, charges the Smartphone battery with a maximum charging power of 120W (20V / 6A).
According to the company, Super FlashCharge technology can charge a smartphone with a 4000mAh battery, from 0% to 50% in 5 minutes, and it takes a total of 13 minutes to reach 100% charge.
The charge at 120W works only when the device is charging with the adapter and the USB Type-C cable provided by the company.
As is done in the OPPO VOOC Charge charger, so also in the OnePlus Warp Charge, the Vivo replaces the step-down circuit with an MCU (Micro Controller Unit). The MCU is placed inside the charger and not on the Smartphone, thus protecting the device from overcharging. This also solves the problem of temperature rise that usually occurs when charging any device.
In terms of safety, the battery management system (BMS) will ensure that the battery charging capabilities are balanced to offer long battery life.
