As for the rear camera, things are even more interesting. THE Vivo claims to be the first to offer true optical zoom because the telephoto lens includes removable elements that allow scrolling from 5x to 7.5x zoom. It has also managed to design the module with a thickness of only 6.2mm to fit comfortably in smartphones with a total thickness of 8.8mm.
This is the first time we have heard of moving elements inside the lens of a smartphone, because even the top smartphones of other companies offer the possibility of "optical" zoom using fixed lenses in combination with special software that processes the shots between different focal lengths.
Furthermore, the Vivo notes that he has managed to create one new gimbal-like image stabilization system for the rear camera 48MP main sensor. The company claims that its own system is 200% more efficient than traditional optical stabilization systems (OIS) and says it was inspired by the way the chameleon's eyes rotate.
