Let's not forget that HDR needs more processing power than a common one photo, as it draws depth information from multiple, simultaneous downloads. This can prove to be great obstacle in the integration of the feature in Android Go devices, due to their low performance.
Unfortunately, the option to enable HDR does not currently work. But surely Google works even experimentally in such a thing is a good omen for the future of financial devices.
