It would allow consumers to monitor their customer-to-customer transactions and whether they intend to enable them to "delete them after ordering, for free, easily, over the Internet and once and for all."
"In 2019, it is time to defend the right to privacy, yours, mine, the whole world," Tim Cook told Time.
"Consumers no longer have to put up with companies that irresponsibly collect user profiles, seemingly out-of-control data leaks and the growing inability to control our digital lives," he said.
"Technology has the potential to transform the world for the better, but it will never succeed in this world without the trust of the people it serves."
