The indications we have so far, show that Xiaomi will first release only the basic version of the Xiaomi 12 by the end of the year, while the most Premium devices in the series such as Xiaomi 12 Pro and Ultra will make their debut from the next one March or April 2022.
However, according to the latest news, the Xiaomi will launch simultaneously with basic version of Xiaomi 12, and an additional device with a small screen, which will be called Xiaomi 12 mini.
Today, in fact, some users at Weibo, have revealed to us almost all the specifications that the upcoming will have Xiaomi Mi 12 mini.
The strange thing about this news "leakage", is that not only the specifications of the device and its design are known, but at the same time the variations in the memory configuration that will have their values.
All this information is displayed in a fairly large poster, the style of which is very similar to the official Xiaomi products sold in stores, but are not currently available.
At this time no one can guarantee the authenticity of this poster, so it is advisable to take all the information we give you with every reservation, until we learn more information from other more reliable sources.
So according to what we see in the poster, the Xiaomi 12 mini will adopt a solution 6,28 inch flat screen, which is consistent with the previous leaks we learned about a device in the series that will be named Xiaomi 12Lite.
At the front and in the center of the top of the screen, there will be the classic small hole for the front Selfie camera, while in the back we see that there is an elongated (vertical) Module for the cameras.
As for the specifications of the device, the supposed Xiaomi 12 mini will be equipped with 870 Snapdragon SoC, which is one of the most balanced Qualcomm SoCs on the market today, and is known for its low power consumption and efficiency, without any overheating problems as found for example in 888 Snapdragon SoC.
The device will also be equipped with UFS 3.1 in storage and with LPDDR5 RAM, which will provide the device with top performance.
Otherwise, the Xiaomi 12 mini will be powered by a built-in battery at 4200 mAh, will support the wired charging at 67 W and wireless charging at 50 W, will have Stereo sound with dual speakers, linear motor per axle Χ for vibration, NFC, infrared transceiver (IR blaster) etc., and will be a real flagship with a small screen size.
The Xiaomi 12 mini will be available in three memory and storage configurations with the following values:
- 8 GB + 128 GB at 3599 yuan (~ 493 €)
- 8 GB + 256 GB at 3899 yuan (~ 534 €)
- 12 GB + 256 GB at 4299 yuan (~ 589 €)
In fact, as we see from the poster translated into English, the Xiaomi 12 Mini will be available in stores from December 26, while pre-orders of the device will start from December 21 in China.
