Google also clarified that not all features of the service, such as Stream Connect, State Share and Crowd Play, will be supported in the initial phase of Stadia. Stream Connect, however, will definitely be available before the end of the year, with the other two expected in early 2020. Also, existing Chromecast Ultra devices will not be supported, except for those included in the Founders package.

Stadia - Remote controls
- As for the remote controls, it will be possible to play on the TV only with the Stadia controller, as those of the Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch are not currently supported.
- Keyboards and mice are only compatible with Chrome 75 or later.
- DualShock 4, Xbox One controller and Xbox Adaptive controller support Bluetooth and USB connectivity in Chrome browser and Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a and Pixel 4.
- The Xbox One Elite controller and the Xbox 360 controller only support USB connection to the aforementioned.
- The Nintendo Switch Pro controller only supports the Chrome desktop browser.
- Some of the above remote controls may need separate drivers to work properly on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
- The Xbox Adaptive controller home button is not supported on Android, Linux and ChromeOS devices.
- The home button on all Xbox controllers is not supported on Windows systems
- The Xbox One Wireless controller does not support Bluetooth connectivity on Linux systems
