Sony has officially announced the Xperia 1III, its first flagship for 2021 which finally offers users the foam cream in all areas and it seems that it can stand equal to the competition of the premium category.
ΜIt remains to be seen, of course, whether the public will embrace Sony's new effort by translating its interest into sales.
The Sony Xperia 1III comes with screen 6.5 '' OLED 4K HDR with image refresh rate 120Hz, making it the first smartphone in the world to offer such high resolution combined with 120Hz. The aspect ratio is 21: 9 and in contrast to the design trends of the time it still has a bezel on the top, a choice that however was not made by chance.
You see, there is the 8MP front camera and the speaker that together with the second one at the bottom give us for the first time in the world of smartphones 360 Reality Audio.
Equally important work has been done on the rear main camera, with Sony installing three 12MP sensors + ToF sensor and Zeiss T * lenses. It is the first time it is used Dual PD telephoto lens thus supporting the natural transition from a focal depth of 70mm to 105mm without losing focus.
Real-time Eye AF technologies and 20fps burst mode with continuous autofocus are also supported, while features such as AI Super-resolution Zoom, Optical Steady Shot and Flawless Eye for incredible stability in video downloads.
The main sensor supports 4K video capture at 120fps and up to 5x slow motion, and the application includes Photography Pro and Cinematography Pro modes, along with a Basic mode for a simpler user interface.
In the rest we find an octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage (microSD expansion), WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, 5G, in-display fingerprint sensor, Android 11 operating system, 4500mAh battery with 30W charger and USB Type-C socket.
The Sony Xperia 1III will be available in Frosted Black and Frosted Purple shades, but its release date and price have not been announced.
