Η Sony has introduced an exciting new addition to its hugely popular premium compact range of cameras, with the release of its smallest and lightest premium compact camera, the RX0 II (model DSC-RX0M2).

This powerful combination has been significantly improved to provide extremely fast performance and excellent image quality for both fixed and moving shots over a wide range of ISO 80-12800 sensitivity. The fixed ZEISS Tessar T 24mm F4.0 wide-angle lens has a minimum focusing distance of 20 cm, which makes it ideal for selfies or desktop photos.
A camera for all occasions
Η RX0 II can be used in places that other cameras can not without really any problem. With its size being only 59mm x 40.5mm x 35mm and its weight just 132g, the RX0 II can easily fit in your pocket while it is ready for shooting in all conditions. It is waterproof up to 10 meters deep, it is dust resistantii, resistant to vibrations during the fall up to 2 meters and resistant to breakage up to 200kg strength.
Movies and more
Η RX0 II offers internal 4K 30p movie recording with full pixel reading and no binning pixels to reach approximately 1,7 times the amount of data required for a 4K video. Using Sony's recently announced Imaging Edge applications, it is possible to transfer video to a smartphone, through which it can be edited and easily shared via social networks.

An additional, new feature that you can access through Sony's "Movie Edit add-on" is "Intelligent Framing", where the selected theme remains in the center of the frame and the image distortion is corrected with a final edit. Depending on the channel where the video will be shared, the required specifications can be selected.
Other video features RX0 II include "Super Slow Motion" recording up to 1000 fps, uncompressed HDMI 4K output and simultaneous proxy movie recording. Users can use the "Picture Profile", "S-Log2" and "Time Code / User Bit" functions to ensure the final result that perfectly reflects their creative imagination.
Precision Photo
With great flexibility, the RX0 II, offers a number of functions for stable downloads and many more video capabilities. It has a shutter that prevents distortion with 1/32000 seconds and can take shots up to 16 fpsv to capture any fleeting expression on the face of the object / subject. With an improved version of the original RX0, the color rendering has been enhanced to transfer the skin colors naturally and vividly, while the optional "Soft Skin Effect" function can be used to cover any small imperfections and wrinkles. The "Rating" and "Protect" functions can also be used, while a mass display of continuous shots can be displayed on the camera screen.
Sony's "Eye AF" feature, which proves to be extremely important for portrait photographers around the world, has been upgraded to RX0 II. The speed, accuracy and functionality of "Eye AF" have been improved to make it even easier to capture a stunning portrait. A simple press of the button and the object of view will be captured. The focus eye (left / right / auto) can be selected in the menu or the preset can be programmed, allowing the user to focus on the creative part of the shot.
The camera provides intermittent recording, the results of which can be edited in Sony's "Imaging Edge" desktop application and converted into enchanting time-lapse videos.
Multiple Camera Operation Options
Up to 5 RX0 II Cameras can be controlled wirelessly through the use of Sony's "Imaging Edge Mobile" application and from 6 to 50 cameras will be able to be controlled from one access point (scheduled to be available in the summer of 2019). THE RX0 II is also compatible with the camera control panel CCB-WD1, which allows the connection and control of up to 100 bodies in a wired multi-camera installation. These multi-camera solutions unlock a whole new world of video capture and free creation from any angle the user desires.
Prices and Availability
The kit RX0 II, which also includes the VCT-SGR1 receiving handle and the wall mount, will be released in Europe in May 2019.
