Joint Press Release of the Ministries of Digital Governance and Environment & Energy for operation of the widely used satellite Internet in Greece
Αpaves the way for operation of the widely used satellite Internet in Greece with a joint ministerial decision signed by the Deputy Minister of Digital Government Thodoris Livanios and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy Nikos Tagaras, following her suggestion National Telecommunications and Post Commission.
In particular, the joint Ministerial Decision no. 57 / Government Gazette B '4938 / 25-10-2021:
- updates the special procedure for the licensing of the installation of standard antenna constructions and
- introduces a new regulatory framework for the installation of standard antennas that meet specific technical safety specifications. The antennas described above will be used by companies to provide consumers with satellite Internet services, ensuring a stable connection at high speeds and low response times.
