Δwe will not have to wait many days to see if the rumor that Samsung will place dual NPU in the processor to be used in Samsung Galaxy S10. The company posted a teaser on Twitter for the presentation of the new Exynos SoC with tagline “intelligence from within", Which will take place next Tuesday, November 14.
It may not reveal its name, however, it will most likely be named Samsung Exynos 9820 SoC and will be constructed with scale architecture 7nm LPP based on lithography technology EUV (Extreme UltraViolet Lithography). According to Samsung, this technology will provide 20% higher efficiency and up to 50% lower energy consumption.
Of course, most of the weight will fall on the dual-core NPU to perform even more complex AI and machine learning tasks, and there is a chance we will see a version with a 5G modem.
