It may have been big delay in its premiere, however now the Samsung is ready and officially announces that the Galaxy fold, the first foldable smartphone of the company, will be available within September.
Όhow the company officially notes, in a press release it issued, took its time to evaluate the design, make the necessary improvements and perform rigorous tests on the device.
The changes that have been made are the following:
- The top protective layer of the Infinity Flex screen has been extended beyond the rim, making it clear that it is an integral part of the screen structure and is not intended for removal.
- The device now has additional enhancements for better protection, while maintaining the foldable experience.
- The upper and lower part of the joint have been strengthened with additional protective covers.
- Metal layers have been added under the Infinity Flex screen to enhance the screen protection.
- The space between the joint and the body of the Galaxy Fold has been reduced.
Along with these improvements, Samsung is working to improve the Galaxy Fold user experience by optimizing more applications and services for foldable UX.
As Samsung notes, more details on the availability of the device will become known as the launch approaches.
