The last place you want to be when a phone battery ignites is on an airplane, but there were 128 passengers and six crew members when a Samsung Galaxy A21 caught fire on Monday.
Όas it states MacRumors, fortunately the smartphone did not catch fire until its flight 751 Alaska Airlines from New Orleans landed safely at International Airport Seattle–Tacoma.
The device was extinguished by the flight crew using a special battery holding bag, but burned completely. We only know that it is one Samsung Galaxy A21 because its owner transmitted this information.
Although quickly reduced, the cockpit was already filled with dense smoke, causing the evacuation doors to open to get everyone out of the aircraft as quickly as possible. The pictures and one short video published by news reported by Kevin Ko on Twitter, shows how much smoke was inside.
@AlaskaAir thank you for dealing with the fire and getting us off flight 751 so quickly!! pic.twitter.com/BWKeXKzOyR

The positive thing about this is that the crew was ready to deal with a battery fire and had the right equipment available. If the aircraft were still flying, I suspect the oxygen masks would have "fallen" to prevent all this smoke from being inhaled.
