Σits context CDS 2019, the annual conference for developers, Samsung presented a concept for a foldable smartphone that folds vertically in clamshell format, as it is said that it will be the new Motorola RAZR to be unveiled on 13 November.

Samsung emphasizes that this design is just one of those they are experimenting with and not something certain for the next generation folding smartphone. It sounds, however, that the new Samsung Galaxy Fold will be presented at MWC 2020 in February and by then they should have ended up somewhere.
