Safe in Covid-19: The new application that will monitor the health of citizens in Greece

This is the result of FORTH's proposal, in the invitation of the Ministry of Digital Governance entitled "Action for the Immediate Implementation of Mature Digital Solutions", which it submitted and concerns the immediate implementation of a specific digital solution already developed by the technological institute in Heraklion, existing productive structures of the State.

According to Dimitrios Katechakis, Head of the Center for Electronic Health Applications and Services at the Institute of Informatics of FORTH, the proposed solution is called “Safe in COVID-19(I stay safe with COVID-19) responds immediately to the challenges facing society in the midst of its pandemic Koronoi and provides citizens, inter alia, with the opportunity to record on a daily basis the course of their health and to communicate synchronously or asynchronously with health professionals, if required, in order to receive instructions.

Regarding this integrated digital service / product, this is the latest extension of the award-winning electronic health software suite Integrated Care SolutionsTM of FORTH-IP, as explained by the head of the center at FORTH. "More than 75% of these softwares have been utilized by the State or private companies in Greece and abroad, through contracts signed by the Institute for their utilization through competitive procedures.

FORTH-ICS, which has been certified according to ISO 9001: 2015, has all the necessary infrastructure for the safe development of electronic applications and the provision of relevant services in the field of health.
