The Notes redmi 8 Pro packs impressive features at an extremely competitive price, but fails to impress.
ΣWith regard to the cameras that the device has, the RedMi Note 8 Pro has a main camera in 64MP along with an 8MP wide-angle lens, and two additional 2MP cameras for macro shooting and depth data.
Despite its relatively impressive equipment, however, the RedMi Note 8 Pro failed to impress, and scored 84 points as an overall score at DxOMark, a score that is exactly the same as that which has Black Shark 2 and LG V30.
Analyzing the score, the Notes redmi 8 Pro was rated 87 points in the photography section and 78 in the video category. The autofocus performance and remarkable isolation of the subject in the main camera side shot was praised at the DxOMark report, but the shots were generally found to have limited dynamic range - slow autofocus - hue effect and soft angles.
Η DxOMark also points out the limited detail and dynamic range, but also the absence of a real telephoto lens which results in the device scoring low in zoom. The camera's performance in low light conditions is another parameter in which the RedMi Note 8 Pro failed to impress the judges.
As far as the video is concerned, the autofocus was found to have several problems and there was visible noise in all shooting conditions, along with the limited dynamic range and an orange tint indoors.
Of course all of the above is reasonable, since especially for the price of Notes redmi 8 Pro, its camera is quite remarkable in good lighting, despite the visible color saturation. Its performance in video in low light conditions was also acceptable.
