Lu Weibing revealed this information on Weibo, where he posted a photo of Redmi's team at Xioami's Shenzhen R&D Institute, where they discussed Redmi's future as a brand, as well as its upcoming devices.
As he mentioned, they have talked in detail about two phones, which means that the company is preparing to leave the mid-range area, and enter the market segment of premium devices.
No further details have been revealed at this time, so we know nothing about Redmi's upcoming flagship other than that it will come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC.
