Immediately after their debut Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro, the company announced its first "smart" TV, the Redmi TV.
Η TV has the funny price of 3.799 yuan (480 euros) given its size as it only comes out at 70 inches. At the same price one can buy the new Honor Smart Screen at 50 inches in China. Redmi TV has 60% more screen than its main competitor! In fact, it provides 4K HDR, making the whole package extremely attractive!
Inside there is the sixth generation Picture Quality Engine which is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic processor with a clock speed of up to 1.5GHz. The CPU is supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For a good audio experience, there is Dolby Audio as well as DTS-HD! The TV has 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and Dual-band WiFi 802.11 b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 4.2.
The software is a product of the Xiaomi motherboard and is the PatchWall OS. There is a voice assistant on the remote control, just like Xiaomi TVs.
We expect Redmi to announce other TV models soon, as part of the company's vision to diversify its portfolio into other smart products in the home ecosystem.
