Using a chipset like the Snapdragon 730G makes some sense, as Xiaomi's big rival Realme is also preparing to release the Realme XT 730G which has the same chipset. The upcoming Redmi Note 8T will likely have the same quad-camera layout as the other two Note 8 models. It remains to be seen whether the Note 8T will have a 48-megapixel main sensor like the Redmi Note 8 or 64-megapixel sensor like the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
