RedMi Note 8: Will be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC, with 48MP camera.

Redmi has confirmed that it will be released in China in Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, but also an improved version of it RedmiBook 14 on Thursday 29 August.

Σday, the company confirmed on its Weibo account that the Redmi Note 8 will wear it  665 Snapdragon SoC which is made with processing technology in 11nm and is complemented by the graphics processor Adreno 610.

So since the Redmi Note 8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC, this means that the device will not have a quad-camera with a main sensor at 64MP (as this SoC supports sensors up to 48MP). The RedMi Note 8 will therefore have an array of 3 camera sensors, with the main sensor being at 48MP.

Along with the Redmi Note 8 series, the company will also release an improved version RedmiBook 14, with processor Intel Core i7 (The "original" version, which launched last May, has a processor Intel Core i5). The Redmi Note 8 in China should have a starting price of 999 yuan (approx $ 140), as was the case with the Redmi Note 7, while its price RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition may be priced from 6999 yuan (approx $ 986).

Recently, the vice president of Xiaomi and the head of Redmi, Lu Weibing, confirmed in a post on Weibo, that the Notes redmi 8 Pro will be released with SoC Helio G90T, which overall is worse than the Kirin 810 but significantly better than the Snapdragon 710.

It has also been announced that the Redmi Note 8 series will have a built-in liquid cooling system, allowing the smartphone to have a 4-6 ° C lower temperature, and better gaming performance.

In addition to all of the above, an announcement is expected regarding the possible release of the online game World of Warcraft at the same event that will take place for his new series Redmi Notes 8, and we may see some special edition of the device dedicated to World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment.
