According to several user reports posted on her Mi community Xiaomi, a new software update for Redmi Note 8 in India.
Τthe new firmware is about upgrading to Global Stable (Fixed Edition) of MIUI 11, but is still based on the Android 9 Pie operating system, instead of the newer Android 10.
The update comes with the number MIUI V11 1.0.1.0.PCOINXM and the package size is 664MB. The update will be done gradually to everyone, and if you have not yet received it on your device, be patient and you will soon receive the notification, through the MIUI upgrade application.
