Redmi Note 7 Pro: And a second case of ignition of the device

What happened and why it caught fire

Song Yujie bought the smartphone from Xiaomi Mall in China on July 24 and the incident happened on October 29, three months after the purchase. According to the buyer, his father had left the Notes redmi 7 Pro on the duvet and watched videos, until he fell asleep.

At one point, his father woke up because it smelled like something was burning. He immediately noticed that the smartphone was engulfed in flames. The quilt was damaged where the Redmi Note 7 Pro was located and its owner was slightly burned in the hands, in his attempt to put out the fire. Η Xiaomi Customer Service stated that he did not find any problem on the phone justifying his ignition. In simple words, the service department said that the smartphone caught fire due to external factors.

So despite the fact that the company gives 18 months warranty on the Redmi Note 7 Pro, this is not covered by it. So, there will be no replacement for the smartphone that Song Yujie bought from his father.

The second incident in a short time

The above case is similar to that of Chavhan Ishwar. The Redmi Note 7S, which he had bought just a month ago, caught fire while in idle state on his desk.

At the time, Xiaomi India had stated that it was not the phone that was responsible for the fire, but external factors. Of course, they did not replace Chavhan Ishwar's smartphone.
