Η Xiaomi released the first Redmi Note 5 Pro in India last year with MIUI 9.2 over Android 7.1 (Nougat). Updated it to MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) in June 2018. MIUI 9.5 brought some new features like gestures support, Dual 4G VoLTE and more.
Beta testers were hired last month to test Android 9 MIUI 10 Global Beta ROMs on devices such as the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Note 5 Pro, 6 Pro, and Y2.
Today Xiaomi launched the release of MIUI 10 Global Beta 9.3.25 for the Note 5 Pro. The update brings Android 9.0 (Pie) along with the April security patch to the device.
The update brings dark mode to all content and Game Turbo support. For the time being the update is a closed beta, this means that it will be given to only a few people. In the coming weeks it will be available to anyone wishing to install it.
