New information shows that the Redmi K40 and the Redmi K40 Pro, may be released in India under the names Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro respectively.
Η Xiaomi has introduced its new line Redmi K40 in China late last month with three exciting gadgets - the Redmi K40, the Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+.
We expect the devices to be available in international markets later this year, but Xiaomi has not released any information on the date. In fact, some recent leaks suggest that the company may release it Redmi K40 as a POCO F3 in markets outside China, however this may not be the case for the Indian market.
A member from XDA Developers and a trusted Xiaomi tipster by name kacskrz shared recently some pictures that suggest that Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro may be released in India under the names Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro respectively.
As you can see in the images below, inside its code MIUI 12, and specifically in ROM ODM Partition, references were found in the code for a new device codenamed "aliothin», Which has the model number M2012K11AI.
This device will reportedly be available soon in the Indian market under the name Mi 11X.
For those who do not know, the Redmi K40 has the code name "alioth", And Xiaomi is used to adding the suffix" in "to the code names of the devices circulating in the Indian market.
This leads us to the conclusion that the Redmi K40 can be released in India as Xiaomi Mi 11X.
The second image shows us that in one part of the code there is a reference to a second device called My 11X Pro, which will obviously be a renaming of it Redmi K40 Pro.
In the third image we can clearly see that reference is made to another new - third device, called Mi 11i. This device will probably be a clone (rename) of it Redmi K40 Pro +.
As you can see, this device shares the code name “haydn_pro" with the K40 Pro +, but in contrast to My 11X the code name of the Mi 11i has been given the suffix «Global enviroment", Which means that this device will later become available in international markets.
However, unlike K40 and K40 Pro which will be released under its Brand Name POCO in international markets, the K40 Pro + it is very likely to keep its original name, and become available in Europe under its normal name.
