Xiaomi released a mid-range smartphone as part of the Redmi series. However, the Chinese giant recently announced that Redmi has become a separate subsidiary of Xiaomi, which will also acquire its own flagship.
ΩHowever, this company has something special, it even released a washing machine from Redmi, something that does not fit so well in its original profile.
Anyway, the company will release on April 9 its first wireless Bluetooth headset called Redmi AirDot TWS. For those who are wondering what exactly TWS means, then the answer is "Truly Wireless Bluetooth" or "True Wireless Bluetooth", and it is simply the advertising slogan that accompanies the headphones.
Both the washing machine and the headphones were announced today during a Redmi conference in China. What sets both products apart from the rest of the genre is that they will have affordable prices. During the conference, Redmi CEO Lu Weibing said the company wants to continue offering value for money products.
Redmi AirDots have a built-in Realtek 8763 chip, and support Bluetooth 5.0. The headset can make calls and digital sound quality is ensured with the DSP digital noise reduction function. In addition, the Redmi AirDots have a 40mAh battery, which ensures 4 hours of continuous music playback, a period that can be increased to 12 hours, using their charging case / powerbank with a 300mAh battery.
The Redmi AirDots are made of silicone, each headset weighs just 4,1 grams, each pair costs around 13 euros, and will be released in China on April 7. So far it is not known when and if they will enter the world market.
