Whenever Xiaomi launches a new smartphone, we all always wonder how long it will take for the Global version of the device to be released to be available in our markets as well.
ΓFor the Mi 9, the wait lasted less than a week, as after the official release of the device one could order it from the Amazon store.
Yesterday, Xiaomi through its subsidiary - Redmi - officially introduced the Redmi 7, an entry-level device, which in China will tear all the competition thanks to a really aggressive price, but for the global version of the device, its price may not be so attractive to Europeans, and most will eventually turn to the Redmi Note 7 (Global Version).
The Redmi 7 is said to have a list price of around 150/160 euros when it makes its debut in Germany. In addition, this will be the price for the cheaper version of RedMi 7, with 3/32 GB, and not the 3 / 64GB for which there is no information about its price yet.
Caution ! Do not be confused with the prices heard at 90/110/130 € that you may have read other articles, as these prices are for China and China Version devices, and not the Global we expect.
Based on these data (if they are valid in the end) and considering the price of 179 euros that the Redmi Note 7 Global has, which of course has a much better quality of construction materials than the RedMi 7, it may not make sense for someone in Europe to buy the Redmi 7.
The differences, however, seem to play in favor of the Redmi Note 7 compared to the simple Redmi 7, unless we compare it to the unfortunate Redmi 6 that is equipped with a MediaTek chipset, but that is not enough to make the new Redmi device attractive .
Maybe that's why Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun puts a lot of emphasis on the autonomy of the new Redmi 7, which uses a new toner anode, with high chemical stability, which in combination with the support of AI software, should guarantee great autonomy.
According to Redmi, taking advantage of the Snapdragon 632 processor, the new RedMi 7 promises 400 hours of autonomy (in Stand-By mode?), But again this alone may not be enough, since in the RedMi Note 7 we have same size battery.
In the end, all we have to do is wait and see if the prices of the Global version of RedMi 7 are really better than the leaked ones, and maybe re-evaluate the device.
