The recently launched Redmi 12 5G series now gets a new variant with a lower starting price
This new version comes with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, giving users plenty of space for their apps, photos and files. The launch price of the version with 4GB + 128GB is at 949 yuan (~ $ 132) which translates to 50 yuan (~ $ 7) lower price than version with 6GB + 128GB, which was priced at 999 yuan (~ $ 139).

Apart from the change in RAM capacity, the rest of the specifications of this device remain the same.
The device is available 6,97 inch LCD screen analysis FHD + with a renewal rate of 90Hz, and is the world's first Smartphone, powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.
It has up to 8 GB RAM with an additional 8 GB of virtual memory (Virtual RAM), up to 256 GB of storage, and has a glass design on the back. The device is quite thin as it is thickness only 8.17 mm and comes with IP53 certification for resistance to dust and water drops.
The Redmi 12 5G runs it MIUI 14 based on Android 13, and the company confirmed that it will receive for 2 years of Android updates and 3 years in Google security code. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and is powered by one battery at 5000mAh with fast charging in 18w.
