Today the Qualcomm officially introduced its new platform Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as well as all of them OEM Smartphone manufacturers preparing to launch new devices with this SoC.
Σday h Qualcomm officially introduced its new platform Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC that promises 10% improvement in CPU and GPU performance and 30% power efficiency improvements compared to the simple SD8 Gen 1.
The top CPU core is Cortex-X2 can now reach maximum clock speeds at 3,2 GHz, then follow large nuclei with the clock in 2,75 GHz, the small nuclei in 2,0 GHz.
The rest of the hardware inside Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 is the same as the plain version and supports up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM (3.200 MHz) along with storage UFS 3.1. It can support display panels in QHD + with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz or to 4K with refresh at 60 Hz in total odds 10-bit and support at HDR10 +.
The Snapdragon X65 modem has maximum theoretical velocities at 10 GbpsWhile FastConnect 6900 supports the Wi-Fi 6 / 6E up to 3,6 GHz. The connectivity in Bluetooth 5.3 includes aptX Lossless and Bluetooth LE Audio Codec (with longer playback times thanks to improved energy efficiency).
The chipset hosts the same triple ISP 18-bit Spectra which can handle sensors up to 200MP and 8K video at 30fps (4K at 120fps), as well as new image processing technologies such as multi-frame noise reduction and stepped / DoL HDR. There is also a specialist bokeh filter and support for formats HLG, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision.
H Qualcomm also confirmed that several OEM Smartphone manufacturers have already integrated the new SoC into their upcoming flagships, including Xiaomi, ASUS ROG, Black Shark, HONOR, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, OSOM, realme, RedMagic, Redmi, vivo and ZTE.
