Ο The CEO of OnePlus has confirmed the in-display fingerprint reader of the OnePlus 6T and a promo video has appeared that highlights him as the highlight of the presentation that will take place on October 17.
OnePlus has been working on this technology for a long time, which the company calls Screen Unlock, with prototypes being tested on the OnePlus 5T and the results showing that it was not fast and reliable enough to integrate into it. Now, after continuous testing and improvements to the Screen Unlock, OnePlus is ready to integrate it into the OnePlus 6T and offer it worldwide.
Aside from the fingerprint reader, OnePlus reveals the bottom of the OnePlus 6T which does not appear to have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, we have a second grille to the left of the USB-C connector, making the device look more balanced at this point, while it is unknown if there will be an extra speaker at this point.
The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch on October 17 and will replace the OnePlus 6, which has been sold out in several markets.
