So today, we have some first information about the price that will have Poco F2 Pro, when it is released on Europe, and are rather disappointing if verified.
Αfrom the first moment we found out that Poco is preparing to release Poco F2 Pro in European markets, most of us expect it to have a competitive price compared to Xiaomi and RedMi Smartphones.
It is considered certain that Poco cannot make this device available in the price range of 300€ from the moment he "wears" the expensive Snapdragon 865 SoC Qualcomm, but will still have to keep the price competitive if the company wants to maintain the power it had created with its release Poco F1 Two years ago.
So today, we have some first information about the price that will have Poco F2 Pro, when it is released in Europe, and they are rather disappointing if verified.
The Portuguese website 4gnews claims to know the prices that the Poco F2 Pro in Portugal. According to the publication of the page (which does not appear to have a history of major leaks), prices for Poco F2 Pro will start from € 649 (~ $ 711) for the model with 6GB RAM + 128GB, while variant of the device with 8GB RAM + 256GB is expected to be available at € 749 (~ $ 820).
If you remember well when the Poco F1 released for the first time in Europe, was priced at 329€ for the model with 6 GB + 64 GB and 369 € for the model with 6 GB + 128 GB.
So if the values reported by 4gnews, its upcoming flagship Poco it will have a price almost equivalent to that of its series OnePlus 8. Of course the page notes that smartphone prices in Portugal are generally higher than in the rest of Europe.
For example, the simple OnePlus 8 Costs 719 euro in Portugal compared to 699 euro costing in France and other European countries. If we follow this example, then the Poco F2 Pro could be billed somewhere between 600 to 630 € in the majority of the European market, which again is a price cap for its history Poco, and has nothing to do with the price ratio it had Poco F1 when it was released two years ago.
But let's keep in mind that there is no solvency history for 4gnews, as we have very little information about this site, and all of this may not be true in the end.
However, if these prices mentioned by the page turn out to be real, then this will surely be the most expensive flagship to be launched by Poco, and will have little chance of keeping sales at the levels it had with the Poco F1.
The Poco F2 Pro is believed that will be largely similar to Redmi K30 Pro. In China, the Redmi K30 Pro costs in 2.999 yuan (~ $ 424 or € 387) for its most basic version with 6 GB RAM, while the most expensive REDM K30 Pro Edition Zoom is priced at 3.799 yuan (~ $ 537 or € 491).
These prices are much lower than what the flagship is expected to cost Poco in Europe, although European prices are generally higher than Chinese prices. For example, the series My 10 starts from 3.999 yuan (~ $ 566) in China, while the same Smartphone starts from 799 euros (~ 875 $) in Europe.
So as we understand it, with these prices (if they really apply), there is no case for Poco to build the same reputation he had with Poco F1, nor of course to make the sales that the device had at that time.
