We believe that it is important to help address the problems of internet stability, as an unprecedented number of people are in "quarantine" and are more dependent on internet access. Players may have somewhat slower or delayed game downloads, but will still enjoy solid gameplay.
"We appreciate the support and understanding from our community as we take these steps in an effort to maintain access for all , " Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan said in a message.
