ΜMicrosoft has officially announced the Xbox Series X since last December and just yesterday to reveal the technical features and some functions, Sony now seems to be forced to make announcements about the PlayStation 5.
The cube was thrown, then. The company will officially present its new game console on March 18, 2020 via livestreaming from the PlayStation Blog! To date we have scattered confirmations of certain features and functions, some testimonials from developers, but also the "revelation" of the logo PS5 from CES 2020.
What we expect to see on the PlayStation 5
- New custom octa-core AMD Zen 2 8C / 16T processor based on the third generation AMD Ryzen (7nm Zen 2)
- New custom graphics processor based on AMD Radeon RDNA Navi (almost equal in power to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, as some developers report)
- Support for 8K and 4K graphics at 120Hz
- Ray-Tracing technology support
- 3D surround sound support
- Support for Remote Play for streaming from PlayStation Now to other monitors (smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops)
- SSD storage (instead of HDD) for significantly faster loading times
- Compatibility with PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3 and PS4 games (backwards compatibility)
- Compatibility with PS4 peripherals (eg DualShock 4)
- New DualShock 5 remote control with tactile feedback technology
- Optical drive with 100GB Blu-ray Disc support
- Price € 449-499

When will the PlayStation 5 be released?
If there are no production problems due to the coronavirus, the PlayStation 5 will be available in the market in November - December 2020.
